Erlang
Erlang is a general-purpose programming language and runtime environment created for the purpose of writing soft real-time, highly concurrent systems.
It provides built-in support for concurrency and distribution and is commonly used for building systems that run for years and even decades, a feat that is accomplished via its isolated processes and supervision trees. The out-of-the-box access to lightweight threads allow programmers to run hundreds of thousands of different things at once.
Erlang, as a battle-tested, safe technology is still used in businesses with high levels of parallel workloads such as the telecommunication industry or other networked services
